Tried and tested by Rocket Gro's in-house horticulturalist, they have seen excellent results using this compost across multiple applications.
The only Peat-Free compost blend in the UK with two sources of feed. An up front 12 week feed from two Organic Fertiliser Superfoods. And a slower release feed from the Digestate fibre in the compost which lasts at least 3 months.
Produced on the RocketGro farm using the finest ingredients. Rocket Gro blend digestate fibre (composted down Maize, Rye & Grass) with line bark fines, wood chip fines and super refined PAS 100 green compost. A dose of Rocket Gro's Organic Fertiliser Superfood is added when the product is bagged. Rocket Gro bag it up using 100% green energy produced on their farm from their bio-digestors. USING THIS COMPOST:
RocketGro Multi-Purpose compost is suitable for almost all jobs in the garden. It is nutrient rich and helps to promote superior root growth while improving moisture retention.
For containers ensure that the container has sufficient drainage holes. Then fill with RocketGro Multi-Purpose Compost. Add your chosen plants and firm lightly, then water thoroughly.
For hanging baskets: Line the basket with moss, or ideally another type of degradable material and part fill it with Compost. Insert plants through sides of the basket where possible to ensure a ball of colour. Fill the basket with compost & arrange plants on the top with trailing ones around the sides. After everything is planted in, firm lightly and water thoroughly.
For beds and borders: Water the plant thoroughly. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Part fill the hole with a mixture of 50% soil and 50% compost. Fill in firmly, then water.
Water regularly. Little and often is better than flooding and letting dry out which stresses your plants.
