Sales Assistant

As a Sales Assistant, you will focus on offering our customers an excellent service on our busy till points, building rapport, interacting with customers, and delivering solutions to the individual customer’s needs.  You may also undertake replenishment tasks other housekeeping tasks as required.

You will be a key team player, with superb communication skills and good levels of self-motivation. 

Hours are 25 per week, worked over five days a week during store opening times, including weekends during our busiest times.

General Assistant

Do you have an interest in all things garden related?  If so, we would love to hear from you as you could be the Assistant with the passion and helpful nature, we’re looking for to join our Downtown Garden Centre.

To support our friendly Garden Centre team, we are seeking a General Assistant to help carry out a multitude of different tasks and support the day-to-day operation of the store.

The main responsibility of this role is maintaining the high standards of presentation within our outdoor area and store front for our customers, including eliminating weeds, emptying rubbish bins and keeping trolleys stocked up.

You will also be required to assist customers with purchases to their cars and support with store projects and other ad hoc duties.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, have a good level of self-motivation and be able to communicate effectively with staff and customers alike.

Hours are 20.5 per week usually worked over several shifts per week during store opening times, times of which can be negotiated at interview.  You will be required to work at the weekends in line with our usual busiest trading periods and a degree of flexibility is required, with you being available to work varying days and additional hours if required.
